Homework
The children bring home a Practice Book which is to be kept at home. Homework will be assigned from this book. The children work from a separate reading book in the classroom. Periodically parents receive a list of page numbers and a due date for those pages. Generally when pages are assigned they cover about a 2 week time period. This is quite a few pages, but the children have several weeks to complete them. As a guideline it is suggested that the children do about 10 pages per week, at a pace that best fits your lifestyle. Most children work on about 2 pages per night. All homework is checked and corrections are made as needed. Promptness is recorded when returning the assignment. Parents are asked to help the children turn in assignments on time.
