Helpful Hints

* Please remember to look carefully at the hot lunch menu and only buy hot lunch for your child if you think they will eat it. We have had a lot of wasted food during lunch time.

*Please continue to practice tying shoes, buttoning ,zipping, address and phone numbers.

*Please monitor the handwriting notebooks and make sure the children are only writing no more than 6 on a line. If it is a word they only have to write it once by themselves. Please sign or initial this homework.

Remember to practice reading all words in the word boxes and to add the new words that come home weekly.

Questions to ask your child about kindergarten:

  2. What was the hardest thing you had to do today?

  3. Did any of your classmates do anything funny?

  4. Tell me about what your teacher read to your class today.

  5. Who did you play with today? What did you play?

  6. Do you think anything is too easy or too hard?

  7. How is kindergarten different than pre-school?

  8. What rules are different at school than our rules at home? Do you think they're fair?

  9. Who did you sit with at lunch?

  10. Can you show me something you learned (or did) today?
