It was definitely valuable toward both personal knowledge and toward networking and growing together as a school system.

Not enough -- Perhaps extend the sessions by a half hour or have an afternoon session as originally planned. Too many of us know too many faces and stopped to "catch up" as opposed to "move on" and learn from eachother. A couple more vendors/tools could have also been highlighted.

The topics were timely and appropriate to the audience. Handouts would have been helpful in some cases. Unfortunately only one of my session presenters kept to the clock so I got the feeling some important info wasn't delivered in the other sessions. (A "short-changed" feeling!)

The location was great, however we could have used some signs outside! (i.e., along the main drive and between the Dorsey Center & Heubeck Hall) -- Also there could have been SOME sort of sign (even if it was last minute) in Heubeck Hall to point toward our room.

Learning each other's roles in the various schools! It seems a lot of us "techies" are making up our positions as we go along... Also learning about the not-so-intuitive uses of technology that make it part of the environment (i.e. John Carroll's table), not just an activity. Lastly, the meet & greet of new and old faces. Networking helps build bridges in our school SYSTEM and keeps us from feeling we are just out there swaying in the wind....

Those of us attending the Plagiarism session were wondering if the Archdiocese might subscribe as a school system to "turnitin.com"! Ideas for the future: -- memo pads & pens at the registration table as mementos & the practicality purpose! (Many of us were scribbling on our agenda flyer.) -- Make concurrent sessions two different lengths -- perhaps one thirty minute block and then two forty minute blocks. (Some presenters didn't have enough time.) -- provide kiosk/table on funding resources (something to complement the website ideas) --maybe a keynote/lunchtime speaker?

For me this Technology Showcase offered nothing new. It was a picture of the status quo that has been in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for 2 or more years.

They were not. They were too brief and had no meat to them. They also seem to be promoting an agenda for the program at Goucher and for Teacher and Technology.

If it is to be a true showcase, then it should be enlarged and should have the "best" technology effort(s) of as many schools in the Archdiocese as possible. It should be a place where Directors of Technology can exchange information. It should have a high school and an elementary section. It should expand its horizons and offer truly innovative efforts that are being done in the schools of the Archdiocese. I am not sure that I would have given up a day of my time at my school if I had what was going to be offered at this event.

They were very interesting, even those from the elementary schools in which, I initially thought, wouldn't apply to me. Consistent school identifiers would've been helpful.

Goucher College is a beautiful campus, however (and I'm sure you'll get a lot of this!), the locations of the concurrent sessions were too far apart. I feared missing parts of each session in order to get to another.

The Technology Showcase was a very good idea. However, I think that it fell short in presenting ideas (via the breakout sessions) to elementary and middle school teahers.

Very little. Most of the presentations were extremely well done. However, most did not present any NEW ideas. The presentations showcased things that many of us have done for years. The NEWER presentaions were not meant for schools with limited incomes.

They ended up being more like commericals for the technology being presented. I know the cost of the "tablets". Show me what they can do.

Goucher was a beautiful location. The buildings were too far apart and the times between sessions were too short to allow for easy access.

Present more information on how to GET the technology presented. Most of the schools (especially the urban schools) cannot afford these things. Show us how to write and /or find grants to help be on par with the other schools. Help us to to know what is out there for us. We want the technology and would use the technology to our students' advantage, if we could afford it.
