| Dear Parents,
Welcome back to a very exciting new school year! I hope you are looking forward to a very exciting and rewarding year in third grade. Below I have written some information that you may refer to throughout the school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. 1. Specials- This is a list of specials that we will participate in throughout the year. Monday-Library/Computer, Tuesday and Wednesday-Physical Education, Thursday-Art, and Friday-Library/Computer, Flutophones 2. Homework-Homework is given Monday through Thursday and is copied from the board into the homework planner. A parent should sign the homework assignments and copy book daily. Assignments are always a review of what is taught in class, so your child should be encouraged to work independently. It helps to have a special study time and area to work in each evening. 3. Birthdays-This year we will be celebrating birthdays, however, I would like the children to bring in a small treat. If you would like to celebrate on a certain day, please let me know by telling your child or by sending in a note to school. 4. Book Orders-They will be sent home periodically throughout the year and if you would like to purchase any books please complete the order form and send in a payment by check only. 5. Supplies-Your child is expected to be prepared each day with the supplies requested on the list given out this summer. Supplies are to be replaced when necessary. When unprepared, the student will be given a written reminder to be signed by the parent. Please send only the supplies requested. Also, supply bags will be sent home on Friday's and should be brought back on Monday.
I hope these items will be helpful as you support your child in Third Grade. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me a note or an email to stobias@ststephenbradshaw.org. I am looking forward to meeting you at Back to School night on Monday, September 10,2007, at 7:00p.m. Thank you for all your help.
Sincerely, Mrs. Tobias
