Course Description:  We'll explore Internet Safety Resources, Bullying and Cyber Ethics to find the best available online resources.   We'll use discussion forums and wikis to collaborate; Participants will create Cyber Safety policy to take back to school for revision and expansion by the whole school community.  Participants will prepare to help their school with the training on Internet Safety Programs that are now required for eRate application.

Course Description:  You will be taking the next steps in using technology in your classroom with the most up-to-date Web 2.0 tools.  These tools include podcasts, wikis, blogs, voice thread, and RSS.  You will have an opportunity to create a wiki that your students will be able to use during the next school year.  You will also create a simple podcast using Audcacity and create a blog to facilitate discussions with your students.  Web 2.0 tools are fun and exciting tools to use for you and your students.
Special offer from Lisa: During the week of June 14th, lunch will be served in our dining room.  This lunch special has been offered to any teacher who takes my course that week.  The price is $4 per meal each day.  I do not have the menu yet, but as soon I get it I will pass it along.  I would need to know an approximate number of teachers who would like to buy their lunches here by the end of May or the first week in June.

Course Description:  Course will center on becoming competent in the most current versions of Kidspiration, Inspiration, and InspireData software as tools for  teaching.  Class members will review and evaluate best practices in using the computer to teach content, process, and assessment in reading and math from grades K - 8.  Participants will focus on using the above software as a tool to promote critical thinking skills.  Participants will explore online resources to supplement math and reading curriculum and create a portfolio of projects and hyperlinks for future use.    Student projects will include the creation of a variety of original math and reading templates for use in the classroom.

The Key School in Annapolis, Maryland, announces Engaging Minds, Inspiring Ideas, a series of professional development seminars for educators. Six contemporary topics include Bioethics, Outdoor Education, Global Studies, Mindfulness in Education, Media Literacy, and the U.S. Congress.
