Cyber Ethics to find the best available
online resources. We'll use discussion
forums and wikis to collaborate;
Participants will create Cyber Safety policy
to take back to school for revision and
expansion by the whole school community.
Participants will prepare to help their
school with the training on Internet Safety
Programs that are now required for eRate
application.

Course Description:
Using
technology to communicate, collaborate, gather information and
learn has become standard practice today. Technology is a new
literacy skill that students and educators need to understand
and practice. In this course participants develop literacy for
the Read/Write Web (Web 2.0), and design a project based
unit/lesson plan using these tools. Emphasis will be on
free or low cost resources that are classroom tested, easily
available, engaging for students and appropriate for the K-12
world.

Description:
In recent years, research in the neurosciences offers
significant insight into the learning process. Study of brain
functions helps educators to understand how learning evolves.
Consideration of emotional implications, learning styles,
learning differences and brain processing is relevant to
enhancing teaching process. Participants in this course will
gain a foundation of understanding that will effectively enhance
their teaching skills.
