The Wonderful World of Digital Storytelling - Using Stop-Motion Animation to Narrate, Report and Interview

Come learn how to use digital storytelling to improve student's reading and writing skills to enhance language arts, math, social studies, and science learning. This session will demonstrate how stop-motion animation can provides student exciting opportunities to narrate a story, report live from interesting locations, or interview historical figures or literary characters. Examples will include projects from students in grades K-12 and will utilize creativity software Frames and Pixie from Tech4Learning  Scott Loomis

Student Audio Production

Digital Audio Production is a class that teaches students how to effectively use the power of digital audio workstations for recording, mixing, mastering professional grade audio. Students learn how to record sound in a range of circumstances--from single voice to full orchestra. They also learn how to use MIDI technology, Pro-tools-style in non-linear digital editing, and all of the features of a modern recording studio. In addition to the tech work, students listen to and discuss the elements of production in a variety of genres of popular music and audio documentary. as a final project, students create an audio documentary.
