Procedure (3 points)
(List these just as found in the book. Include any Predictions you were asked to make for this lab right where it is included in the procedure section. Predictions are always written in first person -"I think that nothing will happen when I try to mix .")

Observations (15 points)
(This is in third person, paragraph form, and states what was observed during the lab. What was seen or what occurred. Remember to include the name of the lab somewhere in the first sentence for clarity.)

Example: "Students can observe, in the lab Comparing Climates, that average monthly rainfall amounts for the Tropical Rainforest and Ellicott City differed greatly during every month. Temperature averages for these two locations also.…….."

Conclusions (15 Points)
(This is in third person, paragraph form, and explains the purpose of conducting this lab or experiment and knowledge gained.
Example: "Comparing Climates is a lab activity that helps students to see that the climate of the Rainforest is very different from the climate in Ellicott City, Maryland. The data charts give a visual picture of just how different these two regions are in average monthly temperature and rainfall. This difference can explain why…………..
."

Data Chart (Some labs will not require a data chart)

(At the end of your lab write-up, always include any graphs or data charts made for the lab. Be sure they are neatly written or typed.)

 

The remaining 10 points are earned by including data charts and predictions if needed, following the proper format, and handing the lab in on time. Every day the lab is late, points will be deducted.
