Mi nombre es María Guadalupe López ó María Guadalupe Pérez Quijas.

He vivido en dos lugares diferentes toda mi vida: en el Distrito Federal, Ciudad de México, y en Baltimore MD.

Soy maestra de Español en la escuela Santa Ursula en Parkville MD,  donde comenzé a trabajar en el año 1997.

El trabajar con niños de kinder a octavo grado, ha sido una experiencia maravillosa, me encanta ser parte del aprendizaje de los niños y verlos  sonreir. A la vez, poder regresar en el tiempo y comvertirme en una niña al jugar y cantar con mis alumnos.

Yo no solo he enseñado a los niños de Santa Ursula, ellos me han enseñado mucho a mi también.

Soy una Mexicana muy orgullosa de serlo, aquí en Baltimore,he aprendido lo importante que es el valorar a todas  las culturas que forman y dan color a nuestro mundo.

 A mi me gusta compartir con la gente mi cultura. Soy parte de el Ballet Folklórico " Mexico ViVo ", el cual comenzó en el verano del 2003.

Nosotros bailamos danzas tradicionales  de los diferentes estados de México en  cualquier lugar que nos inviten.

Mi name is María Guadalupe López or María Guadalupe Pérez Quijas.

During my whole life ,I had live in two different places; Mexico City, and Baltimore, MD.

I am a Spanish Teacher at Saint Ursula School in Parkville, MD, where I started working on 1997.

Working with kids from kindergarten through eight grade, has been a marvelous experience, I love to be part of their education, while I watch them smile.  At the same time, it is wonderful to be able to go back in time, and become a girl once more, when I play and sing with my students.

I have not been the only teacher here at Saint Ursula, my students had taught me a lot as well.

I am a very proud Mexican. Here in Baltimore I had learned how important it is to acknowledge and learn from all the cultures that conform and give color to our world.

I love sharing  my culture with everyone.  I belong to the Ballet Folklórico,
" Mexico Vivo ", which started during the summer of 2003.

We dance Traditional dances from the different states in Mexico, everywhere were we are invited.
