State of Mathematics: Where It Was, Where It Is, Where It’s Going

Description: Dr. Fennell will discuss today’s math standards – how to prioritize and teach for deeper understanding.

Description: A panel of Frederick Community College Faculty will share their expertise with the participants as well as introduce the partnership program, Mē (Math Matters)
 

The Fruits of Our Labors: Algebra Standards

Presenters 3: Algebra Task Force Sub-Committee
Description: Participants will receive the Algebra I Standards and Benchmarks in final draft form, be given opportunities to become familiar with the content and discuss the timeline for implementation.

 Morning Hospitality will be offered starting at 8:30 and lunch provided by Pearson (Scott Foresman)

Location:    St. Michael in Overlea
Description: Join first grade teachers Anita Grauer and Sue Dover for a hands-on session of math activities and assessments that are used in the classroom to build student confidence and fluency in math. Bring your favorite ideas/activities and if applicable your math curriculum maps to round table discussion.

 This session is a repeat of the October 22 presentation and is limited to 40 participants. Morning hospitality will be available at 8:30; teachers are to bring their own lunch.
