About Me
Home

Welcome!  I am a seventh grade homeroom teacher at St. Margaret Middle School, teach seventh and sixth grade language arts and seventh grade religion, and am a moderator for the SMS Press and Scholympics.  I have been teaching at St. Margaret Middle School since 2001.

My family and I live in Bel Air, and I grew up in Harford County.  My husband, Peter, also grew up in Harford County.  Our three children are graduates of SMS.  Peter is a 2006 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is employed by the University in its Finance Department.  Matthew is a 2008 graduate of Towson State University and is employed by T. Rowe Price.  Michelle is a senior at John Carroll.

I have a bachelors degree in Political Science from Rider University and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and my teaching certification from Goucher College in 2002.  Prior to teaching, I was a stay-at-home mom and SMS parent volunteer.

MISSION STATEMENT

My mission is to aid in the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social development of each of my students so that by the time they leave our school, they are well-prepared for the next academic level and for dealing with the emotional and social challenges ahead and they understand and appreciate how the gift of their Catholic faith should be the guiding force in their lives.

I love to read !  My favorites are historical fiction, realistic fiction (especially concerning social issues), and newspapers (especially the SMS Press).
I have been a Catholic all of my life.  We are parishioners of St. Margaret Parish.
I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes two sisters, five brothers/sisters-in law, eight nieces, and seven nephews.
