Grace - God's free gift of Himself that helps us overcome the challenges we face every day

Sacraments - seven celebrations at the center of the Church's liturgy and prayer; instituted by Jesus and allows us to share in the life and work of God

Anointing of the Sick - the sacrament that celebrates God's healing love

Baptism - the first sacrament of initiation, through which we are freed of original sin and welcomed into the Church

Confirmation - the sacrament in which we celebrate the special gift of the Holy Spirit; the sacrament that completes Baptism

Eucharist - the sacrament in which we share in the Body and Blood of Christ, who is truly and really present under the appearances of bread and wine

Holy Orders - the sacrament by which men are ordained to serve God and the Church as deacons, priests, or bishops

Matrimony - the sacrament that joins a man and a woman in Christian marriage

Reconciliation - the sacrament that celebrates God's forgiveness of sin through the Church. It is also known as Penance. The word reconciliation means "coming back together" or "making peace."
