All About Mr. Bailey

It is frightening how awesome SUS students are!

Mr. Brendan Bailey was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.  He is a graduate of Loyola Blakefield High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Goucher College in English Literature.  After completing his undergraduate program, Mr. Bailey remained at Goucher to earn his Master's of Education degree in Middle School Education.  His graduate coursework as well as performance during student teaching earned him a Meritorious New Teacher award from the Maryland State Department of Education, recognizing him as one of the most gifted and promising young teachers in the state.  Since then, Mr. Bailey has continued his studies at Goucher, now working towards administrative certification in the hopes of becoming a principal.  His teaching career began in 2004 teaching 6th grade in Baltimore City Public Schools.  After one year, Mr. Bailey moved to Saint Ursula School in Parkville, Maryland, where he has taught 7th and 8th grade literature ever since.

Mr. Bailey is an avid baseball fan with tremendous pride in his hometown Baltimore Orioles.  He loves international travel and has visited England, Scotland, Ireland, and France.  He is a practicing Catholic as a member of Saint Ursula parish.  Students affectionately know him for his love of dinosaurs, affinity for Arby's roast beef sandwiches, and occasionally excessive love for bacon.  You might see him dancing on the parking lot after school as well.
